Properties: white crystal powder is delicate, if the micro alkali flavor in the air, easy to absorb carbon dioxide and the formation of calcium carbonate, heated to 522 DEG C dehydration into calcium hydroxide, the relative density is 2.24, the melting point of 580 DEG C (and water), soluble in acid, ammonium salt, glycerin, insoluble in water (0.61g /100ml, 20 C that is strongly alkaline, pH 12.4), insoluble in alcohol, alkaline aqueous solution.
Use: used in acid gas, carbon dioxide absorbent, water softener, disinfectant, acid agent, buffering agent, neutralizing agent and curing agent used in pharmaceutical and organic synthesis.
